Syracuse, N.Y. – DirectBuy, the leading members-only showroom and home design center that offers merchandise at manufacturer-direct prices, is proud to announce that its Syracuse, N.Y., location has earned the company’s top ranking for new member purchases for February 2008.

The ranking is important, because it helps gauge new member satisfaction by tracking their purchases within the first year of membership. Much like a gym membership, the benefits of DirectBuy membership are best realized when the membership is used. DirectBuy’s corporate headquarters tracks member purchases by location, honoring the top five franchises on a monthly basis. Syracuse clinched the top spot in February, adding yet another member service achievement to their impressive resume.

“Soon after a member joins, we give them a call to invite them in for a one-on-one New Member Orientation,” says DirectBuy of Syracuse franchisee Michael Fass. “The orientation helps to familiarize members with the layout of the showroom and our shopping and ordering processes, so they can start purchasing and saving right away. We also like to make sure that our staff has a chance to meet the member, and vice versa. Our members become part of our family, and our goal is to help them feel as if they are at home when they are in the showroom shopping.”

Based on their achievements, DirectBuy of Syracuse will be in the running for Top 5 New Member Purchase franchises of the year, a ranking reserved for those locations having the highest percentage of new member purchases over the course of 12 months.

In addition to being recognized for high levels of new member purchases, DirectBuy of Syracuse currently ranks in the top five of all DirectBuy locations for customer satisfaction – an honor based on the results of a member survey conducted by independent market research firm Leo J. Shapiro and Associates.

“Recognition at this level demonstrates a strong commitment to member satisfaction,” says Vice President of Customer Service Margaret Griggs. “Becoming a top new member purchase franchise requires the staff to exceed each and every member’s expectations with one-of-a-kind service. The honors bestowed on our Syracuse location shows that they are very successful in doing just that.”

I can vouch for the Syracuse, NY DB being strong on customer service. I recently went through the Syracuse showroom because I wasn't having any luck with my home showroom (whose name I won't mention) ordering a [manufacturer name withheld by moderator] pellet stove. I immediately was hooked up with David Domroe and from there on in he was very professional and expeditious from the time of ordering until the stove was delivered. All this and I am not even a member there! Thanks and well done.
